Holler Family Reunion 2006

Welcome to the website dedicated to the Descendants of John Holler and Sally Shue, and John's second wife Margaret Low (John Holler was the son of Zachariah Holler and Anna Wannamacher - their family history is located at http://www.thefamilygenealogist.com under the link Descendants of Zachariah Holler.) All the descendants of these couples have been invited to participate in the Holler Family Reunion 2006, to be held October 15th, 2006 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Statesville, NC. It will be the first time since the families moved to different states that all branches of the family (North Carolina, Indiana, South Carolina, Michigan, Illinois, Texas, Florida, Washington DC, and Connecticut) will be gathered in one place at one time.

This signature above is believed to be that of John Holler, from the German version of one of his wills. He probably signed his name Johannes as that is the German spelling of the name John. There are extant records of John Holler that lists his name as Johannes Heller.

Pictured to the left is the original burial stone of John Holler, located in the Prowsville Cemetery, in Washington County, Indiana. John was born in Bucks County, Pennsylvania in 1763, fought in the American Revolutionary War, moved to North Carolina, Ohio, and finally Indiana before his death in 1849.

Note: Information on the early Descendants of John Holler is attributed to Joanne (Holler) Atay, Robert Lee Holler, Mary (Holler) Jeffords, and Kathleen Marie Phelan. As is usual, family histories grow and become more detailed as new information becomes available. I am indebted to Joanne, Bob, Mary and Kathy for the family histories they have so readily shared.
